The Chamber Orchestra of the Valtice Theatre is a newly formed ensemble composed of outstanding players from leading Czech symphony orchestras (such as the Czech Philharmonic and the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK) and specialists in the stylistic interpretation of historical music.
The ensemble respects the interpretive specifics of individual musical styles and uses appropriate historical instruments to express them authentically.
Soloists include Viktoria Englberth, Hartova, and others. The ensemble's artistic director is Robert Hugo.
Artistic Director
Conductor and specialist in Czech music of the baroque and classical periods, combining interpretive mastery with long-term research and reconstruction work in early music. He has realized numerous productions of 17th- and 18th-century operas from Prague, Vienna, Paris, and other cultural environments.
Solo Violinist
A soloist dedicated to historically informed interpretation and vivid musical storytelling. She graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She appears at festivals and exclusive events across Europe - Belgium, Germany, France, Japan, and Switzerland. Each performance combines the precision of classical training with an energy that lifts the entire hall from its seats.
Soloist of the Opera in Usti nad Labem
She studied in Prague and Weimar and has collaborated with many European orchestras, including the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie and the Gottingen Symphony Orchestra. She works with the State Opera Prague and the South Bohemian Theatre in Ceske Budejovice.
Soloist of the National Theatre Prague
She studied in Prague and Milan. Despite her young age, she has already performed a number of opera and operetta roles. In addition to the National Theatre, she currently also appears at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzen and the South Bohemian Theatre in Ceske Budejovice.
Concertmaster of the Valtice Chamber Orchestra
Jakub Verner is a sought-after specialist in historical interpretation and a member of several renowned ensembles, including Collegium 1704, the Rejcha Quartet, and others.
National Theatre Prague
His warm vocal expression makes him especially suited to the interpretation of baroque music, and his stage experience allows him to work successfully as a director of baroque opera productions. He draws, among other things, on experience gained through his work at the baroque theatre in Cesky Krumlov.
