Meet the musicians who bring Opera Gala to life — an ensemble rooted in historically informed performance and the unique atmosphere of Valtice.
The Chamber Orchestra of the Valtice Theatre, also known as the Chamber Orchestra of the Valtice Baroque Theatre, is a newly formed ensemble composed of top players from leading Czech symphony orchestras (e.g. the Czech Philharmonic and the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK) and specialists in the stylistic interpretation of historical music.
The ensemble respects the interpretational specifics of individual musical styles and uses appropriate historical instruments to authentically express them.
The soloists are violinists Viktor Mazáček, Lucie Hulová and Viktoria Engelbert, and the singers are Veronika Vojířová, Eva Hartová and others. The artistic director of the ensemble is Robert Hugo.
